Abstract�� In this paper, O benzyl tyrosine (btyr- ) Containing a big hydrophobic sidechain has been synthesized and characterized by I R spectra,the m elting point andthe elem entary analysis. The stability constant(lg��)ofthe m ixed liqands com plexesoftype [ Cd L Aa]+ ,w here L= 2,2 bipyridyl(bipy)or 1.10 phenanthroline(phen);Aa= alanine(ala- ),tyrosine(tyr- ) and o benzyl tyrosine(btyr- )has been de term ined by p H potentiom etric titration in 20% (volum e fraction) Et O H w ater solu tion( I= 0 10( K N O3),25��) According to ��lgk and thestructure ofligands,there is hydrophobic associationbetw en ligands in [ Cd( L)(btyr)]+
