Abstract�� p aminobenzotrifluoride is an important intermediate of medicines and agricultural Chemicals, but now is not produced in our country. In the present paper, three main synthetic processes concerning aminolysis of p \|chlorobenzotrifluoride, hydrolysis and exchange fluorination of p \|trihalomethylbenzoisocyanate or p\|tribhalomenthylbenzocarbamylhalide, and trifluoromenthylation of aniline are discussed in detail. Their reaction mechanism are investigated and their advantages and disadvantages are also compared.
