Abstract�� In recent years,reactive distillation,which combines reaction and separation in the same vessel,has been given extensive attention.This article reviews the development of simulation and design for reactive distillation process,the steady-state multiplicities and industrial applications of reactive distillation.Major factors and existing problems of the technology are also given.On the basis of the research advances,a future research trend is pointed out.
