Abstract�� In this paper,the composite microspheres of TiO_2/PS(titania/polystyrene)were prepared by in-situ emulsion polymerization.Their reactive conditions and their structure were explored by infrared spectrum (FTIR),transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and differential thermal analyzer (DTA).The results show that TiO_2/PS mono-dispersed composite microspheres with different diameters can be prepared by in-situ emulsion polymerization.In order to get the composite microspheres,it is necessary that the pH of the medium should be above 7 and the amount of emulsifier should be below the critical micelle concentration (CMC).The size of composite microspheres increases with the increasing of styrene concentration.
