Abstract�� LaCoO_3 is used in the reduction of SO_2 by CO in O_2 atmosphere.As a catalyst,the effects of catalysts volume and temperature on reaction have been analyzed.And it verifies that phases of La_2O_2S and CoS_2 are the active phases.By comparing the XRD spectrum, a mechanism is proposed to describe the reason why LaCoO_3 deactived in O_2 atmosphere and the effect of O_2 on reduction of SO_2 by CO.
