Abstract�� The applications and production of 4,4��-diphenylmethane diisocyanate are described.Focus is laid on the discussion of the development of the non-phosgene methods by which 4,4��-diphenylmenthane diisocyanate is synthesized and the exiting problems.Synthesis of 4,4��-diphenylmenthane diisocyanate from dimethyl carbonate is proposed to have great potential.
