Abstract�� Immobilization of the desulfurizing bacteria is very important for the application of biodesulfurization technology.The Rhodococcus sp.H-412 screened by ourselves in the lab,which possessed the 4S desulfurization metabolic route,was chosen as the target.Conditions of its immobilization and application were main analyzed by using DBT as a model compound.The experiment results indicated that the immobilized cell had the optimum desulfurization effect under the conditions of 3.0% sodium alginate(SA) as carrier,1.0% diatomite as additive,the ratio of SA(mL) to cell(g) being 20,cross-linking at 4 �� with 0.10 mmol/L calcium chloride as cross-linking agent.Compared with free bacteria,the immobilized cell was able to endure higher temperature and adapt to wider range of pH.
