Abstract�� In this paper,a new G~E mixing rule(modified WS) is proposed based on the modification of Wong-Sandler(WS) mixing rule,which is combined with Peng-Robinson(PR) equation of state for the prediction of VLE data of many binary polar systems.The results show that VLE estimation method with MWS mixing rule based on PR equation is generally better than those with WS mixing rule.MWS mixing rule can be applied widely in engineering practice.
