Abstract�� Viscoelastic surfactant-based fracturing fluid(VES fracturing fluid)has already achieved well effect as environmental fracturing fluid in the oil field at home and abroad.VES fracturing fluid is no harm to the reservoir and can enhance the conductivity of filling layer.This article reviews the composition,fracturing mechanism,main features,shortcomings and applications of the VES fracturing fluid.In particular,the application of nano technology improves the VES fracturing fluid systems and makes the VES fracturing fluid adapt to dry gas reservoirs.
