Abstract�� C_5 petroleum resin was modified with malefic anhydride as the modifier and DCP as the initiator.The effect of the amount of initiator on the softening point,appearance and state was analyzed.The results showed the suitable ratio of m(maleic acid)/m(C_5 petroleum resin)was 0.09 and m(initiator)/m(C_5 petroleum resin)was 0.10.
