Abstract�� Methods of removing carbonyl sulfide,including reduction, hydrolysis, absorption, adsorption, photolysis, oxidation, etc, were reviewed and the research trends were prospected in this paper. It was indicated that development of multi-element catalysts via mixing ZrO_2, TiO_2, Al_2O_3 and introducing assistants such as iron to reduce the catalyst surface hydrophilic of catalysts and thus reduce the extents of deactivation maybe the new aspect in COS removal.
