Abstract:
A theoretical study on the direct-contact heat transfer between drops and vapor has been carried out. A mathematical model is proposed to calculate the heat transfer rate. And an experiment of direct-contact condensation of steam on water sprays with a full cone nozzle at different pressures is performed to test the mathematical model. Good agreement between theory and experiment is obtained. The variation law of overall heat transfer coefficient with pressure of nozzle is presented.
