Abstract�� The effects of F -,Al 3+ and SiF 6 2- in wet process phosphoric acid on the average size and growth habit of gypsum crystal were studied in batch wise experiment by quadratic regression orthogonal composite method.The experiment showed that gypsum crystal assumes needle like shape in the presence of F -,Al 3+ or SiF 6 2- alone.In the presence of different amount of F -,Al 3+ and SiF 6 2- ,different shapes of gypsum crystals,such as needle like crystal,rhombic crystal and agglomeration are obtained.
